Plate Heat Exchangers in Stainless Steel
The efficient plate heat exchangers are made of stainless steel (the cassette insert is made of copper-brazed stainless steel) and are developed in a unique design characterised by the robustness and effective heat recovery of the Safe series.
Built-in Drain and Bypass

Product description
The heat recovery unit Safe Plate is part of the Safe series from Exodraft, which recovers surplus energy from flue gases and process air.
Safe Plate is designed to handle flue gas temperatures up to 400°C and is primarily used in smaller industrial and commercial installations, with long operating hours and high exhaust temperatures in chimney pipes and chimneys. The Safe series is typically used in industries such as bakeries, food production, and metal processing.
The cabinets of the Safe series units are made of stainless steel EN 1.4404 internally, and all external parts are made of stainless steel EN 1.4301. They are also protected against radiation using 40 mm insulation, and the built-in drain ensures that condensate is effectively removed.
The recovered and stored surplus energy can be used for energy optimisation in, for example, production, heating of domestic water, cleaning, or surplus water from work processes.
Safe Plate comes with an integrated safety and operational measure in the form of a bypass damper, which is prepared for easy installation.
Safe Plate can be used in heated process air from gas, electricity, and oil (may require a special alloy of the exchanger).
The plate heat exchangers are easy to remove for cleaning and maintenance. The maximum pressure on the water side of the heat exchanger is 12 bar.
An integrated bypass damper protects the system from overheating. When there is no need for heat, the built-in bypass closes, and the flue gases are directed straight up through the chimney. The bypass also prevents critical drops in pressure levels.
Due to its compact and unique design, Exodraft heat exchangers require minimal space.
The plate units come with four lifting eyes, which can be repositioned, allowing both horizontal and vertical installation. Safe Plate is only suitable for indoor installation.
The Safe series offers, as an alternative to the standard heat exchanger brazed in copper, a version where the brazing is made of nickel, which is more suitable for installation in corrosive environments.
Safe Plate is not suitable for units with solid fuel (wood, coal, biomass, etc.).
